Warm weather brings reminder to stay hydrated

Baler school nurse Tess Smith offers the following reminder in the wake of this week's warm weather: Please be aware that you and our students are more likely to become dehydrated in this warmer weather. It is important not only to drink fluids throughout the day but to also eat well balanced meals or snacks to prevent low blood sugar. Both low blood sugar and dehydration can cause headaches, inability to concentrate, weakness, fatigue and generally not to feel well. Please encourage students to drink water throughout the day.
