Canned Food Drive gathers nearly 2,000 cans for food bank

The annual SBHS Canned Food Drive gathered 1,964 cans of food that will be donated to the Community FoodBank this holiday season.  Life Skills and Leadership students counted the haul so it could be delivered to the food bank for distribution to locals. Teacher Keith Gonzales' class gathered the most cans, with 695, followed by Christine Dukes, with 483 cans. Multiple teachers' classrooms gathered more than 100 cans. The effort will continue, with food donations still accepted in Catalina Lemos' classroom, 325.
